The To-Shin Do Euro-Festival 2012 will be held in the Historical city of Namur in Belgium. It is ideally situated between the Brussels international Airport and the Charleroi Low-Cost terminal. The actual city where the SKHQuest To-Shin Do Euro-Festival will be held is in “Wépion”, famous for having the best strawberries in Belgium.

We will be welcoming you at the cultural center “Marcel Hicter – La Marlagne”, the facility has all you need, ranging from bed and breakfast(Only 10,00€per night/per person) to an actual restaurant where cooked dishes are served for lunch and dinner. A hot lunch composed of a soup, a dish and a dessert are available for just 5€!

How to get there?

Brussels airport – Wépion(Namur) 46,9 miles, 56 min

Charleroi (brussels south) airport -Wépion 22,8 miles, 36 min

By train from airport to NAMUR.

From Namur station, take bus No. 4 to Profondeville to stop “Fourneau” (on N92), turn right on Oak Street Fund (rue Fonds des Chênes).

You will pass near several ponds. A pedestrian crossing is possible by the lower area of the Marlagne (metal grid after the last pond).

You can also go in the street fund of the Oaks (rue Fonds des Chênes ) and turn left on Chestnut Trail(Chemin des Marronniers). The center is at number 26.

If You come by car, pay attention to the speed limit in the domain, which is limited to 15km/h (just under 10m/h). the domain is a natural park of 37 Acres ( 15 Hectares)

The Citadel Of Namur

The citadel of Namur, one of the greatest strongholds in Europe is worth a visit. This site and its fortifications have illustrated several centuries of occupation and of military architecture since the Middle Ages up to the 20th century. A historical site you cannot miss in Belgium ! Practical information: From April till October a programme of events allows you to discover the underground network and the site of the Citadel : the little train, “the Termite Nest” (visit of the underground galleries); “the Middle Ages” ; the interpretation tours. The guided tours are performed by our multilingual guides (English, French and Dutch). Nevertheless, the Citadel is accessible to walkers and less valid persons every day during the whole year. Walkers can benefit freely from the fortified domain of Terra Nova, which is open from 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. during the high season and from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. during the off season. The guided tours and the various events are organized from the Terra Nova information centre. Two extra information desks are open during the high season on the Citadel Esplanade (Games stadium) and at the Castle of the Counts place. The Yeunten Ling Institute and the mayor temple complex

The foundations for a large temple and adjacent housing complex were laid in the course of 2005. In the spring of 2006, H.H. the Dalai Lama bestowed His blessings upon the new Temple endorsing it with the name Thubten Shedrub Ling. This large project is scheduled to be completed in the early part of 2010 thanks to the kind help and generosity of many donors and friends of the Mandala. The official program has not yet been set, but we can easily imagine that An-Shu will work around this years theme of Ryu-Tai “riding the dragon” in health-restoration ninja yoga and a special meditation on holding focus in times of conflict and confrontation, unarmed and armed personal protection with advanced nagare intelligent effortless dragon flow emphasis. We will have more details soon, but for now, mark your calendar to be sure not to miss what is always a breakthrough training event when An-shu is in the dojo!

The “motto” for our European Festival this time is “Courage”, watch this space to get an important insight on how we see Courage,Chivalry and Brave Boldness in Modern Ninja Training!

Even whilst this is the second time that the Euro-Festival is held in Belgium, we really are a group of European friends bounding together to make this happen.

To organize such an unique event all by oneself is almost impossible, without the support of those people listed here below, this would just not happen.
